Oriental Rugs are not just floor coverings; they are priceless handmade articles of art. Carter's Carpet Restoration respects this fact. Oriental Rugs are generally made of natural fibers and natural dyes. These give them their rich luster and warm feel. Most Oriental Rugs are hand made. Hand made rugs are always imperfect. Their imperfections are part of their charm. The natural fibers and dyes along with their intrinsic value mean Orientals need (and deserve) special care. When a customer sends us an Oriental rug for cleaning, we proceed with the idea that we are handling something of great value.

DRY CLEANING, WARM WATER EXTRACTION, OR COLD WATER EXTRACTION

Your fine, delicate rugs are:

• Vacuumed to remove dry loose soils.
• Second, the rug is gently and thoroughly dry cleaned, warm-water extracted, or cold-water extracted to remove the dirt and oils from the fibers.
• Any spots on your rug are carefully removed.
• In the case of warm- or cold-water extraction, your rug is immediately dried with the use of special dryers.
• The fringes are treated with a special fringe cleaner to restore their original color and brightness. The fringes are always hand done to assure thorough cleaning.
• Finally, we roll up your rug, wrap it for pick-up, or at your request, deliver your rug directly to your home.
